FM Studios

Built for Oakland natives Tommy McElroy and Denzil Foster, producers for En Vogue an FMOB, an industrial building (former auto repair facility) was transformed into audio production facilities and offices. The control room was sized to allow for mixing and in-room overdubs for electronic input.  The Studio “A” features extensive use of diffusion panels and variable, rotating acoustic panels to allow for adjustment in room timbre as required by the artists in the live recording of vocals and instruments.  Chips Davis of Frank Hubach Associates was the Studio Design Consultant.
