The Zoo

A recent addition to the East Bay music scene, the 8,000 square foot warehouse, was transformed into project studios and production headquarters for East Bay artists.  Resident companies include SkyBlaze Entertainment representing R&B singer Goapele and hip-hop artists Zion-I, and electronic specialists, Dresden-Johnston. The facility features rehearsal and tracking studios with supporting office suites. The rooms are designed with much of the reverberant surfaces intact, attenuated by absorptive and diffusive panels as required, maintaining the “live” sound often lost in highly controlled studio environments. The Acoustical Consulting was provided by Frank Hubach Associates and additional Interiors coordination by Theo Rodrigues.
