Piedmont

This single story bungalow was transformed into a 2,400 s.f. two story resident adjacent to two traditional Piedmont homes.  With sensitivity toward massing, detailing, and neighborhood “fit,” we were able to produce a comfortable mix of traditional and contemporaty architecture, marrying the demands of older context with newer lifestyle.  The house form is simple, presenting itself with formality to the street.  The interiors, developed in close collaboration with the owners, is transitional – featuring both traditional and formal appointments along with those that are more relaxed and modern.
